I’m passionate about the power of music to bring people together. Classically trained from a young age, I became enthralled with jazz and improvisation as a teenager. Inspired by harmonic geniuses like Stevie Wonder and Herbie Hancock, I channel the joy and complexity of life through my music. I co-lead the funk-fusion project Mysa.
As a composer I’ve scored short films, podcasts, and written musical comedy songs. My music directing credits include Cancel This Musical (Cincinnati Fringe), A Very Merry Unauthorized Children’s Scientology Pageant (Unattended Baggage), Mr Burns (Prismhouse Theater Co), and Cabaret (Playwrights Downtown), as well as cabarets at 54 Below, Joe’s Pub, and Brooklyn Art Haus.
I run an active piano studio for students of all ages. My teaching is founded in helping students develop their personal relationship with music while giving them a strong foundation in music theory and technique. My life has been shaped by great teachers. I aim to do for my students what my teachers did for me, sparking imagination, creativity, and fun.
